Acupuncture treatment involves the use of very fine sterile disposable needles which are inserted into specific points to inform and activate the self-healing mechanism of the body. Once the needles are in place one may experience sensations of heaviness, warmth or a sense of energy flowing from the area around the acupuncture point.
